“If we do that basically and create the right environment for businesses to thrive. Once we do that, what we deserve from government is not too much. What we need is an honest government that will provide the right infrastructure.
“We need to rejig our educational infrastructure, health services and security services. Once you do these three key things and put the right infrastructure, Anambra will be a destination for investment, industrial growth and a veritable economy that is sustainable”.
His view on zoning the governorship ticket is that the decision on zoning should be left for Anambra people. He said “Anambra people and institutions will consider that they have zoning and there is no doubt about that.
“The traditional institutions, town unions, religious and community leaders have in one way or the other, in order to solve some political challenges have made it possible for everyone to commit that there is zoning in Anambra state.
“I am contesting election on the platform of the PDP. My party as a party that is willing to win an election because every politics is local, will always do their work and whether zoning is what we will do is the decision of the party. For me as a party man, I will stand with what the party say”.
Having been part of the political process in the state throughout the past 14 years, Azubogu promised to work assiduously to develop a clear template for the PDP to win the election.
“Our commitment to offer ourselves to run for the governorship of Anambra state is derived from our belief that if our will align with the will of God, we will make Anambra to be great again. Anambra will experience massive development both in infrastructure and human capital development.
