Amed O urges Tinubu, Atiku, Obi to unite Nigerians in new song

That Nigeria needs unity at this point cannot be over emphasised, and Amed O, singer and actor, has offered his creative deft to this by tasking President Tinubu, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi, to advance this, having demonstrated their pan-Nigerian stance with their marital liaisons.

While Tinubu married from Delta, Obi married from Akwa Ibom while Atiku has wives outside his native northeast zone. Amed O is doing this via his new unity song, ‘Aboki Na Asu Igbo’, which he ostensibly intends to use to cement Nigeria’s unity along marital lines.

The song, ‘Aboki Na Asu Igbo’, (loosely meaning ‘the Northerner who speaks Igbo language’), overtly positions inter-tribal marriages as a veritable way to foster Nigeria’s unity, which according to the artiste, is quite fundamental in moving the country forward at this auspicious time.

Amed O says: “I did that song because all the presidential contestants married from various tribes in Nigeria and we the products of intertribal marriages, the ‘bi-tribals’ are not left out in this campaign for Nigerian unity, justice, peace and equity; all the tribes in Nigeria as far as we are concerned should be happy in the country.

Our common goal is happiness, joy, prosperity for everyone irrespective of our various tribes and tongues and geopolitical zones. This is why I am personally calling on all the big names in Nigeria to put hands on deck to maintain peace”

Other tracks which are ready and available on audiomacks include, ‘MySuperSugar’, ‘My Music’ and ‘Anybody in Love’, which he solely composed and wrote as part of the new album to be released by the end of 2024.
