Akwa Ibom MRO to drive Ibom air – Uriesi

The Akwa Ibom Maintain, Repair and Overhaul facilities MRO in Uyo is to make Ibom a destination of the choice for Nigerians.
The Chief Operating Officer of Ibom air Mr. George Uriesi who disclosed this recently to journalists in Lagos explained that the Ibom air with the facilities when operational will be a tripod for the airline’s maintenance base.
According to Uriesi the Akwa Ibom government’s motivation to set up an airline was as a result of the big picture vision of the government adding, that they built airport and MRO that remained a tripod of strategic investment with a robust business plan.
“Akwa Ibom a destination of choice for Nigerians and people visiting Nigeria because of the airline now, definitely the MRO will very soon become established properly.”
Uriesi explained that Ibom airline will be run like a private airline he described Ibom air as a game charger with world-class service, providing three key things missing in the industry by providing scheduled reliability, on time departures and customer service.
“There is a robust business plan so the airline is being run like a private airline and because there is a gap in the industry welcomes a game changer and so, the airline would like to position itself as a game changer, providing a world class service,
providing the three key things that are missing in the industry, the preposition is providing schedule reliability, on time departures and superior customer service. So first, Nigerians can plan against our schedules.”
He said the airline has a long time plan with the crop of young people trained to take over to ensure its success.
