Agbarere Fracas: Saraki Donates N3million To Affected Families

Saraki has donated N3million to heads of five families whose
residential buildings were torched during the recent fracas that broke
out in Agbarere and Ita-Ajia areas of Ilorin, Kwara state.
At Agbarere quarters, the heads of the five families that were
affected in the crisis that claimed three lives and wanton destruction
of property were given N500, 000 each while the head of the family
that was affected in Ita-Ajia area also received N500, 000.
The former governor of Kwara state also donated the some of N250, 000
to the Magaji-Are of Ilorin, Alh. Aremu Subair whose vehicle was also
vandalized by the hoodlums.
Saraki who was represented by a team of the Mandate campaign office
led by Alh. Oba Olabintan attributed the cause of the crisis ignited
by some miscreants to acrimony and animosity.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) leader in the state said he was
deeply touched by the civil disturbance, which he noted, had brought
untold hardship to the victims.
He assured that the government would continue to prioritize the well
being of the people of the state and told the perpetrators to prepare
to face justice.
Saraki said his modest donation to the victims was to further reassure
the people of his commitment to their welfare, adding that the
committee set up by the government to look into the attack would also
do justice to the assignment.
