Aftermath of #ENDSARS: Raids On Hideouts Lead To Arrest of 50 Hoodlums, Gay Suspect

The Edo State Command of the Nigerian Police has announced the arrest 50 hoodlums involved in the October 20th #ENDSARS protest including one Lucky Oghosa Sunday over his involvement in the Indecent act of gay practice with another male Osagie Edosa who is presently at large.
Lucky Oghosa Sunday, according to a police statement made available to journalists in Benin City, was arrested during an organized raids by police in conjunction with local vigilante network .
The statement stated that operatives of the Benin Command of the Nigerian Police and local vigilante were raiding hideouts for criminals and suspected hoodlums who participated in the October 20th #ENDSARS which led to wanton destruction of properties worth millions of naira including the burning down of 4 police stations in different parts of the state.

According to the statement, Lucky Oghosa Sunday and another male simply identified as were caught making out with each other by local vigilante in one of the raided communities.
It was understood that the vigilantes in one of the sting operations, busted an apartment in Upper mission extension axis of Benin City where the suspects were caught in the act of gay practice and arrest of Lucky Oghosa Sunday made while his partner escaped.
Also, the statement added that while the Command recorded appreciable success during the raids in different parts of Benin City leading to the arrest of over 50 hoodlums who were paraded along with a suspect identified as Lucky Oghosa Sunday, while another male was still at large as he however managed to escape arrest during the raids in different parts of the metropolis.
It further added that all suspects involved in the arrest will be charged to court following the completion of investigations into the cases against them noting that the suspect arrested for breaching the Same-sex Prohibition Act had been paraded along with other suspected criminals at the Command.
According to the statement, efforts have been intensified by the Command to arrest and apprehend the fleeing suspect Osagie Edosa involved in the gay practice as a manhunt for his arrest has been set up.
Meanwhile, the October 20th 2020 #ENDSARS protests orchestrated by youths was a public outcry against police brutality across the country which snowballed into one of the most violent movement ever undertaken by youths in the history of Nigeria.
