Adelusi plans to set up Football Academy

Chairman, Phidel Group of schools, Deacon Ayodele Philip Adelusi, has revealed his plans to set up a football academy in Nigeria that would cater for young players, who are aspiring to make careers in football.
Adelusi said this is as a result of identifying gaps in the youth and sports development system like Nigeria that is replete with budding talents.
He is however yet to decide where the school would be sited, but he further revealed that the Academy will partner with some European clubs to enhance the development of the student players.
He revealed this to the media at the recent maiden edition of Phidel Group of Schools inter-house sports competition, and expressed satisfaction in the performances of the children.
“I am totally satisfied with the performances of the children.  Being the maiden edition, the children have performed very well.
“It is unbelievable that within 3 years, we have been able to get to this level.  I am sure the parents will be proud of us.
“I believe deep down me that a world star will be unearthed in Phidel Group of Schools one day. I love sports so much and I plan to set up a football academy to set standards, which future generations will build upon.”
Phidel Group of Schools were established in 2013 with the vision of providing quality education for children at Primary and Secondary school levels, and improving their physical and mental fitness through sports.
Green house emerged winners of the first edition, which was recently held at Agege stadium Lagos.
Four Houses competed in the fiesta with Green House hauling a total of 10 gold, 8 silver and 3 bronze medals, Red House came second with 9 gold, 9 silver and 11 bronze medals, while Yellow House had 8 gold, 9 silver and 8 bronze medals. Blue House brought up the rear with 7 gold, 11 silver and 10 bronze medals.
