Adamawa Majority leader sponsors bill for consolidated salaries of administrative staff

A Bill for a Law to provide for Consolidation of Administrative Staff Salary Structure for administrative Officers in the State has scaled through first reading on the floor of the house.

The bill which is sponsored by the Majority Leader of House, Hassan Mamman Barguma was presented during Monday plenary Session.

Speaker Kabiru Mijinyawa who presided over the plenary session directed the chairman, House Committee on Rules, Business, Ethics, Privileges and Public Petition to schedule the bill for second reading in any convenient legislative day.

Meanwhile the House has granted approval to the executive arm to secure one N100 million loan from the Zenith Bank PLC to finance the State Governments counterpart contribution in respect of World Bank Assisted Community Development Projects (CSDP) in the State.

The House approval followed a request letter sent to it by the Deputy Governor, Martins Babale and read on the floor of the House by the Speaker, Kabiru Mijinyawa during Monday Plenary Session.

After considering the importance of the request by the lawmakers, Speaker Kabiru Mijinyawa put the motion into voice vote in which they unanimously supported the motion for the approval and directed the clerk of the House to communicate the resolution to the Executive for further action.
