Abuja residents eulogise Glo on Everyday Bonanza

…..as second set of winners pick prizes
Presentation of prizes to winners in the on-going Everyday Bonanza, a loyalty reward scheme packaged by national telecommunications company, Globacom continued in Abuja on Wednesday as over hundred subscribers picked up different prizes including Fridges, Televisions, Microwave Oven and Generators at Gloworld, Aminu Kano Crescent, Wuse 2.

The Glo retail outlet was filled to the brim as lucky winners began trooping into the venue of the event with their friends and relatives as early as 10am. They were all effusive in joy as they waited in front of the outlet to receive their prizes.

Miss Arziki Safiya, an Abuja based applicant was particularly ecstatic as she danced with Glo ambassador, Sani Danja who heartily joined her in celebration. Expressing her heartfelt appreciation, Safiya who is still searching for job said she remained eternally grateful to Globacom for the 32” LED Televison set, adding that “the luck that brought the gift will also get me a good job in due course.”

Another winner is Mr. Anthony Edekobi Chukwuemeka, an Engineer from Anambra State, who resides in Wuse, Abuja. He won a brand new Generator and thanked Globacom for the prize. “I don’t need to buy a new Generator again as planned; Glo has provided one for me and I will make good use of it in my house, especially now that lights are not too stable. Kudos to Glo” he said.

Other winners are the trio of Omale Dauda, Shuaibu Momoh and Amadi George who all expressed their joy for winning Microwave ovens. Omale said he will continue to participate in Everyday Bonanza and believed that he will win another prize soon, while Momoh and George who said they were shocked when they got calls from Glo both thank the company “for always remembering the masses.”

Wada Bashir who was one of many subscribers who won Refrigerators said “I am very happy for winning the prize, this meant a lot to me and I thank Glo for the prize. I promise to remain a loyal subscriber of our Nigerian network taking care of us”

The event attracted dignitaries from Federal Capital Territory including the Chairman, Senate Committee on Health, Senator Lanre Tejuosho, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Diaspora, Hon. Abike Dabiri, Corps Marshall, Federal Road Safety Commission, Dr. Oyeyemi Boboye, Representative of Nigerian Communication Commission, Mr Fred Adogo and Representative of Director General of National Lottery Regulatory Commission, Mr. Yagba Tsav.

Speaking at the event, Hon Abike Dabiri who said Globacom had always been associated with empowerment of Nigerians urged the company not to rest on its oars.

She congratulated the winners of the bonanza and wish them the very best.

Also Speaking, the Corps Marshall, Federal Road Safety Commission, Mr. Boboye Oyeyemi said he was proud of Globacom for its unprecedented way of rewarding and empowering its customers. “Globacom, remains Nigerian pride. I congratulate the truly Nigerian company for giving back to the society at all times,” he enthused.

Mr. Yagba Tsav, Assistant Director who represented the Director General of National Lottery Regulatory Commission stated that NLRC gave Glo the right to run Everyday Bonanza, adding that Globacom has, so far performed creditably well.

Welcoming the guests earlier, Globacom’s representative, Mr. Michael Toluhi said Everyday Bonanza was conceived by the company to appreciate its loyal subscribers by giving them opportunity to win tens of thousands of mouth-watering prizes worth hundreds of millions in naira, adding that this is the first time telecom subscribers in Nigeria will be enjoying this kind of value from service providers in Nigeria.

He said since 2003 when Globacom began operation, the company has offered its subscribers best value for money by introducing the most innovative products, adding that Everyday Bonanza is not an exception.
He called on Glo Subscribers and other Nigerians across the country to make utmost use of the opportunity provided by Everyday Bonanza to win quality prizes.

Other cities lined up for the event include Benin City, Enugu, Port Harcourt, Ikeja, Suleja, Warri, Onitsha, Ibadan, Ikorodu, Kano and Lokoja. Asaba, Kaduna, Ilorin, Aba, Owerri, Calabar, and Ota will also host the prize presentation.
