I’d have been successful footballer, claims Ghandour Cosmetics marketing boss Ali Jihami
Ali Jihami, the high-flyer marketing manager of Ghandour Cosmetic Ltd, has become a man synonymous with high-impact marketing of luxury products on the African continent.
For more than 20 years, he has worked and contributed to the growth of Ghandour Cosmetics to become a household name South of the Sahara.
The Lebanese in a recent interview insisted he has got a life outside the marketing of perfume and skincare products.
“I am a metrosexual man who likes to shop. I am very social, so I enjoy quality time out with friends and family.
I spend time on social media and have a healthy relationship with the outdoors, so I enjoy all kinds of outdoor activities including hiking, quad biking, swimming, etc. I love sports, particularly football.
I support Manchester United; I have since 1999. I love travelling and learning about new cultures,” he enumerated.
On what he enjoyed most about his job, Ali Jihami gave a comprehensive explanation: “I am passionate about the beauty and cosmetics industry.
I enjoy the changing trends, the increasingly high demands of consumers, the competition to be innovative, sustainable, and come out with the best products. I enjoy the expansion into different markets and consumer segments.
I love to see how cosmetics change lives and influence society. It is hard work, but it is also fun, and I wouldn’t change it for the world.”
While he is without a doubt successful in his chosen profession of sales and marketing, Ali Jihami, however, believed he could have another life and another profession that would make him fulfilled as well.
“I could probably have been a footballer. I play, live, and breathe football. I used to play it professionally for our home team in Lebanon and with several football teams in Ivory Coast,” he affirmed.
