Edo 2020: ”APC will shock Nigeria’s political space” — Gov Buni

The chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) national caretaker/national convention planning Committee, Governor Mai Buni, has assured that the party will be victorious in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in both Edo and Ondo states.

Gov Buni said this while inaugurating its reconciliation committees for Imo and Ogun states on Friday, August 21, in Abuja.

He also said that aggrieved members will return to the party and help to strengthen its ranks ahead of the 2023 general polls.

Gov Buni in his remarks said, “Let me also add that the on-going reconciliatory initiatives of the All Progressives Congress (APC) will soon shock Nigeria’s political space with the massive return of former members who felt aggrieved and unwillingly, went to other political parties.”

Daily Times reports that Adams Oshiomhole, the former chairman had stated that he will ensure APC wins.

While addressing his supporters in Benin, last month, Oshiomhole said, “I have come home to join you and start the process of reclaiming the house back to the family of APC. What gives me joy is that, as they say, he with God is majority and if the people say yes and God says yes there is no man born of a woman that can say no.

“When I became governor of this state, I was not the chairman of anything. I had left the presidency of the NLC.

“Now I have only one mission and I am sure it is our common mission; our common vision to bring Edo back to the part of sustainable development.”
