He said he wished “to state that a handsome reward of ₦500,000 awaits whoever gives useful information for the arrest of the suspected serial killer at Akinyele Local Government Area of Oyo State, one Sunday Shodipe (male, 19 years) who was arrested and paraded at the Oyo State Police Command Headquarters on July 17, 2020, but later escaped from lawful custody on August 11, 2020,” Daily Times gathered.
He reiterated the command’s earlier directive that members of the public should apprehend the felon if anyone sees him.
“Consequently, the general public is hereby implored to arrest and immediately hand him over to the nearest police station for necessary action.
“The command can be contacted on GSM numbers: 08035632410 and 07066003536,” he said.

Many Nigerians have been accusing the police of complicity in the escape of the arraigned man who reportedly confessed to the killing of not less than six persons in the local government.
The police, however, has denied complicity and has been taking actions to
extricate itself from the blames occasioned by Shodipe’s escape.
