Ndigbo, South-South group charges Isolo LCDA chair on campaign promise

A social-cultural group popularly known as Ndigbo and South South Union residing in Isolo Local Council Development has paid a courtesy call on the chairman of Isolo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Samson Abiodun Olaleye.

Speaking during the courtesy call, the chairman of the group, Mr. Leo Ikeagwu expressed joy as Honourable Samson Abiodun Olaleye emerged chairman of Isolo LCDA after the local government elections in Lagos, whilst he further spoke extensively on some of the campaign promises made by the chairman.

Barister Ikeagwu recalled that during the campaign the group hosted the chairman with his campaign team on two different occasions at Leo Ikeagwu close, Ajao Estate.

“It is equally on record that this group hosted you and the campaign team at St Claver Catholic Church where the parish Priest prayed for us all for good health and success.

“It was as well on record notwithstanding that the objective as a group is solemnly for the promotions and upliftment of Igbo and South South culture, salvation, peace and unity in Nigeria, we still participated actively in the campaign to ensure that victory was won for you and demonstrated indeed.

According to him, “There is no doubt the victory recorded was through the support of the Almighty God who empowered us all that participated actively in this struggle that commemorated to today’s celebration.”

He said, “Today the chairman has mounted the seat of power to lead us for the next four years and beyond.”

He however confirmed the chairman had even commenced working to fulfill the promises made to the people during campaign, praying, he would successfully complete his tenure.

Again he said “We want to also refer to the basic fact that most of the roads in the LCDA which include Ajao Estate, Apina, Ilasama, Ishaga, Ire Akari and others are very much in deplorable condition” adding, that would require urgent attention.

“We also pray he will create job opportunities for our teaming youths who have nothing doing and are prepared to do any work required for the development of our LCDA.

Barister Ikeagwu applauded efforts of the All Progressive Congress (APC) States Chairmen in Lagos, Otunba Henry Ajomale for the two supervisory councilorship slots given to the union.

Earlier he noted “We are aware that Hon Samson has a broad mind and a listening ear that accommodates other needs of our people in LCDA.

Responding, the chairman who promised to work with the group, commended the chairman of the group for ensuring sustainable supports for the growth of the LCDA.

“On that spot he gave me his contact and promised that he was going to work for me. In the beginning I was not planning to get 100 percent while I was thinking of getting 50 percent, but God gave me the 100 percent.”

Recalling, in 2015 they lost completely in all the elections in Ajoa Estate as they failed to romance the group very well.
