4 students nabbed for gang raping female student of Adeyemi College Ondo

Four students have been paraded for allegedly gang raping an undergraduate female student of the Adeyemi College of Education (ACE) Ondo.

The victim, an 18 year old student of the History and English department in the institution was lured by the suspects.The arrested suspects are: Adetunji Olakunle, Akinola Timilehin, Olagbaju Tobi and Adeyemi Adebisi and Eric Nwage.

Although, Eric was said to have ran for cover after the arrest of his members by the police, he has been declared wanted.The victim was said to be a girl friend to Timilehin Akinola of the Social Studies Department in the same Adeyemi College of Education in Ondo.

It was gathered that she was lured to a residence belonging to Tobi who is a student of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic Owo.One of the suspects who gang raped the female students said they took their turns and raped the victim. “Tobi went to talk to the girl and they had an agreement that they will give her twenty thousand naira.

“But, Tobi did not have any money and he just scoped the girl about the money although, the girl initially agreed.”It was later after the fun that she said she needed her money and we gave her N500 naira.”She came back again that she needed money and we said we did not have any money and her friends told her to go and report to the school authority and we were arrested.”

Hilda Ibifuro Harrison, the Ondo State Commissioner of Police paraded the culprits before journalists at the command Headquarters in Akure.

Mrs. Harrison explained how the culprits lured the female student to No. 17, Funbi Fagun Housing Estate in Ondo town and took turns on her.

She further disclosed that the rape case was reported to the institution authority while the police detectives swung into action and arrested the four culprits.”One of the suspects, Olakunle video their heinous crime as they take on their victim one after the other, and later abandoned her to go with a threat that they shall use charms on her if she ever reveals the incident to anyone.

“The phone and charms used in perpetrating the crime were recovered and the case was transferred to the department of Criminal Investigation”.

Daily Times gathered that the female student is at the Obafemi Awolowo University Ile Ife in Osun state where she is recuperating.
