Ph.D graduand dies on graduation day in Ilorin.

He died in the early hours of Saturday, before the commencement of the convocation ceremony of the institution. Before his death, the deceased was a lecturer and the Chief Imam of Fountain University, Osogbo, Osun state. Badmas Yussuf, the Dean of the university’s Post Graduate School,  announced the demise of the graduand while inviting the 166 graduands receiving doctoral degrees of the institution to come forward for the Vice-Chancellor’s handshake. The Vice Chancellor of Unilorin, Prof. Abdulganiyu Ambali, said 67 of the 6,069 graduands for first degrees were first class, adding that it was an improvement on last year’s 41 first-class graduands
