In this chat, he recounts 7 powerful habits that have helped him come this far in his truly inspiring journey.

- Starting early
While Anthony understands the importance of sufficient sleep, he says he makes it a habit to rise early each day and get a good head start. When you do this, you’ll realise you must’ve achieved a lot before most people even get out of bed.
“I get to do a lot between 6 a.m and 8 a.m. From my daily exercise routine to reading a book or learning something new on YouTube, my mornings are always very productive,” he says.
- Positive thinking
Negativity is mostly a thing of the mind. More often than not, people become what they think. Positivity should drive everything about you, but you should also watch it so you don’t live in denial. Be positive but you should also be realistic.
Pursue your dreams positively and be positive about your plans and actions. It doesn’t really matter whether anyone else believes in you or not. Never let negativity creep in and dwell inside of you.
- Focusing on your goals
Sometimes your goals may not make so much sense to other people, but that shouldn’t deter you, Anthony says. “When I decided to become a watch dealer some years ago, I would’ve easily been discouraged because I had no knowledge of it, never done anything like that before. What kept me was my determination and focus,” he notes.
- Eating right
You can never underestimate the role of a healthy lifestyle in your pursuit of success. A huge part of that is proper dieting. Eat right; it’s just as simple as that. Forget about the trans fats and other unhealthy junk.
Except you exercise regularly, which you should, you also need to drastically cut down on carbs, especially refined carbs. Pay more attention to vegetables, fruits, protein and always take lots of water.
- Regular exercising
Anthony Farrer has a very strict daily exercise regimen. He brings the same discipline to his work as he does to his workout. “But the key is to actually enjoy every moment of it.
If you exercise like someone who is under pressure or who’s forced to do it, you’ll get it wrong. Your mind has to agree with your body if you want it to work”.
- Networking
Most people don’t know that networking can be a habit. It is, indeed a great habit; one that the Timepiece Gentleman says you can never do too much of.
Teaming up with Marco Nicolini, his trusted partner would never have happened if not for networking. “Networking doesn’t just broaden your horizon and knowledge base, it aids your growth as well because you meet people who are potential clients”, he says.
- Studying
Some people will tell you to read often. Anthony says study. “Reading is good, but it is often done without an intention or purpose.
It is a recreational activity in most cases. Studying is more intentional because you’re trying to learn new things which can help your goals and aspirations”, says Anthony. You should read books that can help you become better, especially relating to your chosen career and passions.
