5 suspected armed robbers arrested in Jigawa

Jigawa state Deputy Governor, Ibrahim Hassan Hadejia has confirmed the arrest of five suspects in connection with armed robbery at Gidan Maidawa Village in Dutse Local Government Area of the state.

Hadejia, made the confirmation while responding to the allegation made by the lawmaker representing Gumel/Gagarawa/Maigatari/ Sule Muhammed Federal Constituency, Muhammad Sani Zoro, who accused Governor Muhammadu Badaru Abubakar of abandoning the state, resulting in the increase of criminal activities.

“It is baseless and is political. Jigawa is one of the most peaceful states in the country,” Hadejia said.
