40 and Fabulous Urged FG to Back Women’s Empowerment Program

Jolly Nnenna Abani, the creator of the reality TV show ’40 and Fabulous’, has called on the government to support programs that empower women, citing the show’s success in transforming lives.

Jolly made the call at a press briefing in Abuja on Tuesday

She stated, “The nation needs programs like ’40 and Fabulous’ that provide thoughtful questions and answers. This show was created to empower women, as it is said that when you train or help a woman, you have helped a nation.”

Abani emphasized that empowering women has a ripple effect on the entire society.

According to her, “When women are in the right mindset, everything goes well in the house, office, and everywhere. ’40 and Fabulous’ is not just about gender or fighting for equality; it’s about women – moms, widows, single moms, married and unmarried – who aspire to have their voices heard and reshape their lives for a better tomorrow.”

She urged the government to recognize the value of such programs and provide sponsorship.

“If the government can join and empower programs like this, we can make a significant impact. Empowering 10 or more women every season will go a long way in bettering the nation,” Abani explained.

Executive Producer, Kennedy Chukwuma Aja, also highlighted the show’s impact on employment.

He said, “Each season of the show has a total crew of over 35 people working on set and behind the scenes. We employ at least 50 people per season. The employment aspect of the show goes beyond that because we teach people how to create wealth and businesses on their own.”

The grand finale of ’40 and Fabulous’ is set to take place on May 4th at Transcorp Hilton Hotel, where the winner will receive 10 million naira and a brand new car.

The event promises to be an exciting conclusion to a season that has inspired and empowered many women.

“Don’t miss the grand finale of ’40 and Fabulous’ on May 4th at Transcorp Hilton Hotel. It’s going to be entertaining, educational, and a grand event that showcases the vision of ’40 and Fabulous’,” Aja said.

Several stakeholders in the creative industry have hailed ’40 and Fabulous’ for its unique approach to adult education and empowerment, which has been making a significant impact on Nigerian society.
