3SC open screening turnout surprises coach Amoo

The Oluyole Warriors’ coach has expressed his surprise at the level of players that attended their open screening sessions recently in Ibadan

Amoo said that he and his assistants had a tough time trying to get the best players among the large crowd and he has thanked the management of the Ibadan side for agreeing to his proposition to have an open screening that would be targeted at having a strong feeder team that could form the club’s feeder team.

He explained that with patience and perseverance lots of  Odion Ighalo and other players that were discovered during street football abound everywhere in Nigeria and that can only be fished out during open screening like the one they had recently.

“It was an eye opener for me because we discovered lots of young footballers. We had over 200 players coming for the screening and it was very hectic getting the very best of those that came. We had many that still came even after the end of the open screening and were still considered if they were actually better than the ones we have on ground.

“I am very certain that these players will be ready for the rigorous of premier league football by next season. They are ripe enough for the rigour of National League games but they would have acquired the necessary experience with which to play in the NPFL by the next league season.”

The U23 coach pointed out that 28 players were penciled down from the open screening exercise and that the management of 3SC has promised that they have series of activities that they have lined up for the players discovered.
