2Baba teams up with Spellz for new single

After releasing Coded Tinz featuring Phyno and Chief Obi some days ago, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, will be dropping another single in few days to come titled Officially Blind.
Explaining how they arrived at the single, the producer, Benjamin Spellz in a telephone conversation, told New Telegraph that it wasn’t planned for.

He stated, “I was supposed to work with 2 that day, but after setting up the studio he became restless. We decided to take a drive and I brought out a CD containing some of my beats. When it got to a particular beat, 2Baba started singing to it. AJ, his cousin who was with us, followed up with a chorus and I tried to put in harmony into it too. That what how we began to write the song while driving. I was at the passenger side and AJ was behind 2Baba. We immediately entered the studio, worked on the song and I gave it to him.”

Spellz, who is getting married on February 21, described the song as a love song that represents everything 2Baba stands for since the days of Plantashun Boiz.   “I believe the song would make a big impact as time goes on. Asides being a producer, I am a big fan of 2Baba and Plantashun Boiz. I recently played it for Faze and he loved it. This is the original sound of Tuface; if you love Tuface Idibia, you would love Officially Blind.
Speaking about the rift between Blackface and Tuface, he admitted that he didn’t really know what went wrong and he was not in a state to commend about it. But, according to him, they should settle things amicably as soon as possible so that everyone can move on happily. “This is music and we don’t need fights or any sort of controversy. We don’t need unnecessary attention; all we need to do is to give our fans what they want all the time and make them happy. Controversy won’t bring fame or money; Tuface is a very peaceful person.
“There is no judge on social media so it makes no sense to take issues to there. You can only get the public opinion, but you cannot live your life based on that. The public don’t even know the truth so their opinions would be bias. They only hear a side of the story, they often just jump into conclusion,” he stated.
