24,042 verified Kwara workers, pensioners to receive pay
The Kwara State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed, has given an approval for the payment of March and April salaries and pensions of 24, 042 workers and pensioners, who have been cleared in the ongoing staff verification exercise.
According to a statement by the Alternate Chairman of the State Committee on Personnel Database Development, Alhaji Isiaka Gold, the approval followed the final clearance of the affected workers and pensioners by the Nigerian Inter-bank Settlement System (NIBSS).
Alhaji Gold, who is also the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), explained that the salaries and entitlements would be paid this week.
He said that the entitlements of 1, 427 workers and pensioners found to have submitted invalid Bank Verification Numbers(BVN) would be withheld pending further investigation.
