2019: Vote people of integrity, Asuelimen tells electorate

An aspirant for the House of Representatives for Esan North East/Esan South East Federal Constituency, of Edo State, Mr. Asuelimen Ononmhen, has challenged people of the constituency to only, “Vote into office those who will not distance themselves from you after election.”

Asuelimen promised a gathering of party faithful in his constituency that he will bridge the yawning gap between the electorate and those they elect by initiating regular town hall meetings with a view to discussing the needs of the people and proffering solutions.

He bemoan the situation where elected officials not only abandon the people, but also fail to keep to their electioneering promises only to resurface after four years going about cap in hand pleading to be given a second chance.

“We should not be fooled by their antics this time around, let there be a paradigm shift from these insult on our sensibilities and vote in men who do not trade on empty promises,” he noted.

He rhetorically stressed that he will not want to toe the line of those who will tell the electorate that they can invoke the angels and command Jesus Christ to descend from heaven, but however promised to meet the need and aspirations of the people if he eventually clinches the ticket.
