2018 Christian Pilgrimage: Gov Bindow Commended for equity participation

The Adamawa State Governor, Jubrila Bindow has been commended for equity representation of the State contingents participating in the 2018 Christian Pilgrimage to the Holy Land. Speaking to journalists during the Pilgrimage at the center where Nigerians prayed for peace before, during and after the forthcoming general election in Nigeria, the commissioner for Trade and Cooperatives in the State, Augustine Ayuba said Governor Bindow has been magnanimous enough by sponsoring more participants to the Holy Land. The Commissioner who considered the act as an equity intention also said the governor carried everybody along irrespective of their religion. “Governor Jibrilla has passion for everybody. He does not show any difference between the Muslims and Christians, in fact, he embraces everybody”, he said. Ayuba said with the lessons of the Pilgrimage, he would want Nigerians, especially the Pilgrims to develop positive attitude to work, calling on the Nigerian government to emulate Israeli government by strengthen her economy. “With what is happening in Israel, I want Nigeria to be like the Holy Land. Their rule of law and attitude of the people to work is very positive and if Nigeria can do the same our economy will be strong”. He expressed optimism that Nigeria will one day be strong, adding that most developed countries started very rough like Nigeria adding that Nigeria will get it right one day especially positive attitude to work. “When you look at US, it experienced what Nigeria is experiencing today, likewise other countries but they have distinguished themselves with their rule of law and equity. I have a strong believe that we will be like this and we are gearing towards that. “I actually laud the efforts of my Governor towards strengthening the faith of Adamawa State for the goal. “Because of the passionate nature of Gov. Bindow towards Christian pilgrimage, all the Christians Pilgrims that were supposed to make it to Israel did. “Although there was a flop on the process but he said everyone must go and by the grace of God we are the last batch for 2018. He is not bias in terms of religion”, he said. In his contribution, Hamaji J Bulus, Commissioner for Environment in the State said that it is expected that after the pilgrimage, there should be a high spiritual attainment and confirmation , which is part President Muhammadu Buhari’s advocacy, ‘Change’, saying “change begins with the Pilgrims”.
