HYPPADEC board under way, says Sen. Umaru

The Presidency will soon name the board of the Hydro Power Producing Areas Commission (HYPPADEC), Senator David Umaru representing Niger East Senatorial District of Niger state has hinted.
He has also dedicated his recent victory at the Appeal Court to the people of his senatorial district.
Sen. Umaru stated this at the weekend while addressing constituents and supporters who paid him a solidarity visit following the victory at the Appeal Court which affirmed him as senator elect.
He thanked the people for their resolute and resilient support during the struggle to retrieve the mandate stolen by individuals in conjunction with the state government.
The senator therefore, promised to redouble efforts towards improving the living standards of the constituents through intervention projects.
The lawmaker assured that the Presidency will soon constitute the board of HYPPADEC, adding that the smooth take off of the commission will be top on his priorities at the next Senate.
He said that “I want to dedicate this victory to God and to the good people of Niger East for their tremendous support during the period. The Presidency will soon announce the board members of HYPPADEC,” adding that all was set for its successful take off.
Speaking earlier, political leaders from the constituency urged the lawmaker to remain focused in his service to the people, adding that he should not allow any distraction in the good job he is doing.
