Wike appoints Acting D-G for Neighbourhood Safety Agency

The Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, has approved the appointment of Dr. Uche Chukwuma as the Acting Director-General of the Neighbourhood Safety Agency.

This is coming barely 24 hours after the state governor on Thursday gave his assent to the Neighbourhood Safety Corps Law No. 8 of 2018 passed by the Rivers State House of Assembly.

A statement by Mr. Simeon Nwakaudu, Special Assistant to the Rivers State Governor on Electronic Media, noted that Dr. Chukwuma who retired as an Assistant Commissioner of Police holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Degree and a seasoned security professional.

Dr. Chukwuma is also a one-time Police Public Relations Officer with the Rivers State Police Command.
