Entrepreneurship is an ability that is available to any human being, and is not a genetic trait, claimed emerging mogul, Fidelis Junior Iruedo, who has recently registered a new company called NFT Heros Limited.
According to him: “Indeed, Sometimes, entrepreneurship runs in the family, whereby you see generation after generation of a particular people being successful traders and their offspring naturally take after them to become business people; the same thing applies to some families of lawyers or doctors. But in truth, entrepreneurship is not a genetic trait that one can inherit; it is a human predisposition that you can develop or imbibe if the circumstances around you are right.”
He illustrated his point by making an example of how he was inspired to become an entrepreneur.
“I remember receiving some gifts from my dad. He sent me a Timberland coat, a nice jacket and a few other things, but I never wore them. I sold them. After doing this, I realised that I knew how to sell products. For that reason, if any of my friends or a friend of a friend wanted to sell something, they contacted me. This was how I first discovered my talent for business,” he recounted.
Having successful business icons as role models, he argued, also helps an individual to become successful at entrepreneurship. “For example, 50 Cent is one of my big inspirations, so also the businessman Donald Trump. I didn’t take 50 as my hip-hop inspiration, but for his business acumen. And Trump, not for his Presidency, but his business efforts,” he stated.
Iruedo, known for his advocacy for and investment in solar energy, explained his choice of business investment. “Sometimes, you have to have foresight about what will become the next big thing in business and be among the early adopters that will put their money in it. Renewable energy is the future, and I know any investment in solar energy now is good business,” he stated.
