Unknown Gunmen Attack Lawyer Involved In Disputed Land Case, Shoot Tenant

The family of a lawyer embroiled in a protracted land dispute with a politician (names withheld) after judgement was delivered in favour of his client again came under attack when some unknown gunmen stormed his residence where they shot one of his tenant.

Recall that Barr. in charge of a land dispute case on behalf one of his client against the said politician has in recent weeks come under violent attacks .

According to information made available, judgement on October 20th 2023 was given in favour of his client over the disputed land exposed him to threats from faceless individuals.

It was gathered that he was attacked and abducted along with his family on November 3rd while returning from church but was rescued by vigilante who engaged the armed men.in a gun battle leading to the death of two persons while personal belongings and effects were carted away

Also, on January 4th 2024, his residence was again attacked and sporadic gun shots were held in his compound as one of his tenant was hit by bullets as he managed to escape with his family unhurt, it was confirmed .

Meanwhile, the threats to life by the unknown gunmen, according to sources close to the lawyer, was reported and incidented at the police station .

According to information made available, the lawyer was not guaranteed any protection by security agency and the police as he was told that the personality involved in the case too influential for them to invite for interrogation .

Recent findings in the community revealed that the embattled lawyer had absconded from the community with his family in order to avoid the increased threat to life as his whereabouts however remain unknown to anyone in the community.
