Traditional ruler denies receiving financial inducement from herdsmen for grazing

Traditional Ruler of Obimo community in Nsukka local government of Enugu state, Igwe Spancer Ugwuoke has denied receiving financial inducement from herdsmen for the purpose of grazing cattle in the community.
Igwe Ugwuoke was alleged to have collected money, sold plots of land without the approval of the community.
However the traditional ruler said the allegations were false and untrue adding that the protesters were only out to blackmail him.
He added that at no time had he met or collected money from anyone for the purpose of bringing cattle into the community for grazing.
He said “I have not held any meeting with herdsmen not to talk of collecting money from them to graze in Obimo”.
