Tinubu Appoints Folashade Adekaiyaoja as first female Deputy DG, DSS

President Bola Tinubu made a historic appointment by naming Folashade Adekaiyaoja as the first female Deputy Director General of the Department of State Services (DSS) on Tuesday January 14, 2025.
This move aims to enhance the agency’s structure for improved efficiency, aligning with its original hierarchy that includes three Deputy Directors General.
Adekaiyaoja, a native of Kogi State, received widespread support from both current and retired DSS officers, who view her as highly qualified for the role.
This appointment reflects Tinubu’s commitment to bolstering Nigeria’s security framework, as he has tasked security agencies with proposals for enhanced service delivery and pledged to equip them with advanced technologies
