Taraba APC rally: Buhari insists on security, economy, fight against Corruption

Jalingo, the Taraba State capital, Thursday, witnessed an unprecedented crowd of people who came from the three senatorial zones of the State to grace the APC Presidential and Gubernatorial campaign rally. Speaking at the Rally held at the main bowl of the Jolly Nyame Stadium, the APC Presidential flag bearer for the February 16 elections, President Muhammadu Buhari said his administration’s fight against insecurity, corruption and improvement on the nation’s economy shall not be compromised. President Buhari, who spoke in Hausa, described Taraba as an agrarian State with abundant natural resources, assuring to make fertilizer affordable for farmers at subsidized cost. Mr. President, who pledged completing the Multi Million Naira Mambilla Hydro Power Station if re-elected for another four years, further opined that Mambilla Hydro Power Station will not only provide electricity for Taraba but the entire northeast region. In his remarks, the National Chairman, APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole promised to take over the government of Taraba from PDP whom he described as dead that will not resurrect. While calling on the people of the State to vote massively for all APC Candidates, Oshiomhole said PMB remains the only sincere person among the Presidential Candidates. Also speaking, the APC Gubernatorial Candidate for March 2 polls, Alh. Sani Abubakar Danladi requested for more security personnel in the State to ensure the safety of the people in the state. Daily Times reports that the Rally was climaxed with handing over of Gubernatorial flag to the Candidate, Sani Danladi and reception of decampees from other Political parties.
