Sturridge returns to training

BRIEFS
Daniel Sturridge returned to training on Monday as Roy Hodgson prepares to name his 23-man England squad for Euro 2016. The Liverpool forward missed England’s 2-1 victory over Australia at Sunderland’s Stadium of Light last Friday because of a calf injury. He is the only player left in the squad who has not featured in the last two friendlies and Marcus Rashford’s stunning international debut against the Aussies has left Sturridge vulnerable of being left out by Hodgson.
Chelsea must learn from mistakes—Terry
John Terry is hopeful Chelsea can challenge for top honours again under Antonio Conte after a disappointing 2015-16 campaign. The Stamford Bridge side had to settle for a 10th-place finish in the Premier League as they missed out on European football, while also prematurely crashing out of the Champions League, FA Cup and League Cup. Terry is optimistic about their chances next season, though, in what could be his last season at Chelsea after recently signing a one-year renewal.
Man Utd: Borthwick-Jackson signs new deal
Cameron Borthwick-Jackson has signed a new four-year contract with Manchester United with the option of a further year. The young left-back was handed his debut by Louis van Gaal in a 2-0 win over West Brom back in November 2015 and went on to make a total of 14 first-team appearances in all competitions. The news comes on the same day that striker Marcus Rashford committed his future to the club and Borthwick-Jackson insists he is looking forward to learning from Jose Mourinho and the rest of the United coaching team.
