Six killed in Lagos-Sagamu road crash

Six people have been feared dead in a road traffic crash that occurred at the Sagamu interchange axis of the Lagos- Ibadan Expressway.
The commercial car, a Nissan Quest with registration number FKJ 297 AJ had reportedly rammed into an Iveco truck marked LND 902 XE resulting in the fatal crash.
In a reaction, the Public Relations Officer, Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency, TRACE, Mr. Babatunde Akinbiyi, attributed the crash to reckless driving and overspeeding by the driver of the car.
Mr. Akinbiyi explained that the presumed dead occupants of the car, five females and the driver had been deposited at the morgue of Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital (OOUTH), Sagamu.
He pointed out that rescue efforts were carried out at the scene of the crash by TRACE personnel in collaboration with officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC and other stakeholders.
