Shun violence, embrace peace, NSCDC tasks youth

The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC), on Wednesday, called on youths in the country to avoid all forms of violence that can cause crisis, adding that peace should be their watch word.

Zonal Commander in charge of zone D, Mrs. Abosede Mercy Isimi said while on a routine visit to the Niger State Command that there is need for religious leaders to preach and educate their followers on the importance of peaceful coexistence.

According to her, “Nigeria youth must understand that they are brothers and must be their brothers’ keeper; instead of instigating crisis or taking laws into their hands, they should preach peace ‎and build cordial relationship.

“The only thing Nigerians must imbibe now is true peace, love for one another and we must all shun every form of violence.”
