Shun cultism, Gov Ahmed urges students

 Governor of Kwara State, Dr. Abdulfatah Ahmed, has called on Nigerian students to avoid cultism and other social vices in Nigerian institutions.
This call was made at the maiden edition of a summit organised by the National Association of Kwara State Students held at the multipurpose hall in the Kwara State Government Office in the state capital, Ilorin.
While delivering his speech, the governor who was represented by the state Commissioner for Information, Alhaji Mamud Ajeigbe salutes the efforts of the organisers of the initiative, describing it as a brilliant feat fashioned towards curbing social vices in tertiary institutions in the country.
The governor also noted that youths in the country need to be constantly engaged in order to mould defensive walls against crisis and insurrection in the society.
He continued by noting that constant sensitisation of youths through media campaign is critical to the attainment of peaceful coexistence in the country.
He stated further that such initiative as this must be encouraged and empowered especially in this harsh economic regime, which has affected almost every strata of the economy.
The event, which  was tagged ‘Peace and Entrepreneurship Summit,’ attracted dignitries across different fora of the country.
