Sen. Musa commiserates with constituents over bandits attack


Senator Mohammed Musa representing Niger East Senatorial District has commiserated with the people of Galkogo and Zumba communities in Shiroro Local Government Area of the state, over the recent attacks by armed men in the two communities.
Sen. Musa, who condemned the dastardly act, described it as unfortunate, barbaric and sad.
He said at a time when the entire world is in dire need of prayers to overcome the pandemic of the coronavirus, some who are still in hell’s way are determined to take the peace of others.
“I received with shock the attacks on Galkogo and Zumba. It is really unfortunate, barbaric and sad that at a time when the entire world is bedevilled with the coronavirus pandemic, some people are still in hell’s way trying to destroy the peace being enjoyed by the citizens,” the senator said.
He sympathized with the people in the communities, particularly the families of those who were shot and those whose loved ones were abducted by the bandits.

Sen. Musa assured that he would continue to use his office to seek for more security cover for people in his constituency and indeed, Niger state as a whole, while urging the people to remain calm.
“I will not relent in my efforts to see that the people of Niger East Senatorial District enjoy the dividends of democracy, particularly as it concerns security. I will continue to use my office in collaboration with our Governor, Abubakar Sani -Bello and other stakeholders, including local government chairmen in the senatorial district to ensure that maximum security cover is given to all the people,” the senator stated.
The senator commended the security operatives in the state, including the police, army, air force, the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps and the local vigilante, calling on them not to lose courage, but to redouble their efforts to root out the bad elements from the state.
He particularly, urged them to deploy their forces to Galkogo and Zumba to ensure that the perpetrators of the attacks in the two communities are apprehended and brought to justice.
Sen. Musa however, enjoined his constituents to be security conscious and to also volunteer useful information that will help security agencies carry out their tasks in the area.
