Satellite technology will be used in fight against corruption – FG

Dr Ogbonnaya Onu, the Minister of Science and Technology, said the federal government will use satellite technology in intelligence gathering in the fight against corruption, insurgency, banditry and kidnapping.
Daily Times reports that Onu said space science satellite technology has the capacity to tackle crimes in the country and ensure good governance.
A statement from the National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA), yesterday, said the minister made the disclosure at the 2020 National Space Dialogue and Media Conference on Space Science and Technology organized by NASRDA in collaboration with the Niger Delta Power Holding Company Limited (NDPHC) in Abuja.
The minister said the Nigerian Space Policy was established to address socio-economic problems and improve the living standard of citizens.
