Restructuring way forward for Nigeria –Cleric

The Minister in Charge of Well of Salvation Evangelistic Ministries,(WSEM), Salvation Chapel, Ibadan, Pastor Taiwo Emmanuel Olowookere has called for an urgent restructure of the Nigerian nation for justice, fairness and equity to be achieved for all the six geo-political zones that make up the country.

He expressed this view while speaking with the Daily Times correspondent in the city of Ibadan, Oyo state. According to him, as things stand presently in the country, the North is been unduely favoured to the disadvantage of the Southeast and Southwest.

Pastor Olowookere stated that the whole truth about federal character and quota system entrenched in the Nigerian system are meant to pull back the wheel of progress of the South in order to achieve leverage for the North.

“Exactly, we need restructuring. As things stand, the North benefits more than the rest of the country in all sphere of the economy. They believe they are the less privileged.” “I think the Federal Government must make amendments. It must balance everything for fairness, justice and equity to prevail.”

In another vein, Pastor Olowookere said that another problem with Nigeria is that, Nigeria has forgotten God and are consumed with the evils of corruption, kidnappings, killings and other anti-social vices. “The way forward is to go back to God and ask for His intervention. Only this can change the current situation in which we have found ourselves. No amount of propaganda can do this.”
