Prinsult boosts entrepreneurship with business workshop

In every part of the world, the entrepreneurship sector is known as the power house behind any successful nation. To this end, Prinsult Company Limited, over the weekend organized a business model canvas workshop for small business owners, so as to enhance entrepreneurship in the country.

Prinsult Company, which is a Business Development Service Provider (BDSPs) offers management, economic and technical consulting, and training services to governments, private sector, NGOs, civil society organizations, and donor agencies.

In an exclusive interview on the sideline of the event, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Raliat Oyetunde, told our correspondent that for an entrepreneurial person to be successful, a man or woman must follow what she called four Ms in running a business: Method, Mentor, Market and Money

She explained that such person must follow Method which to do business, Mentor; someone that has done that business to follow through, Market; where to sell that product then Money.

While explaining the four Ms in running business, Oyetunde, pointed out that a business owner must identifies importance of method in his or her business, adding that the model canvas, the value preposition, customer segment, key partners, core structure and revenue are key factors to be considered as a prospective successful entrepreneurs

According to her, “Who are the people? Because everybody manufacturing water, everybody is selling bread but what are you going to do that will be different from the ordinary. You are not reinventing but only reinventing a new idea and a better way of doing a business.”

so when a business person, an SME when they know method with which they come out and do this business, they know mentor people that has been successful in it, they employ those people as their mentor so that they can learn and enable them to pick up.

However, becoming a success entrepreneur does not come easy but with hard work, commitment, perseverance and continual self-improvement, the sky is just the beginning of their success.
Indeed, every highly successful entrepreneur has a great story to tell. Often times, you’ll be amazed by what most of them have gone through before becoming famous entrepreneurs.
Meanwhile, financial stakeholders have identified distinctive challenges facing entrepreneurs in Nigeria and how to deal with them and become a better entrepreneur.

Oyetunde, who is an expert in the Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) sector, also explained the essence of mentorship in business growth and stressed the need to create a market where such products will be sold.

“The market in which the product will be sold is very important because you might have a beautiful product and does not have access to the market, and Prinsult Global has price itself in creating SME ambassadors, providing enabling environment as well as creating access to market for them”, she stated.

In fact, we have a policy that anytime we have a workshop we tell participant that please bring your products for display and sales we usually create a table outside for everybody to showcase what they do”, she stated.

“I’m a believer of do something with your hand, you have an idea let me see it, in fact if you are a teacher turn around those children, you can produce something but make neat and simple, so as to distintify yourself in whatever you do.”, the Prinsult boss advised.
