President holds meeting with Saraki, Dogara, Tinubu in Aso Rock

President Muhammadu Buhari, on Monday, met with some top leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the State House, Abuja.

The President at first, met briefly with the Senate President, Bukola Saraki and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara.

The closed-door meeting was held inside the new Banquet Hall of the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja.

This was Tinubu’s first visit to the Villa since Buhari returned from his medical trip on August 19.

Tinubu arrived for the meeting at exactly 3:30pm; five minutes after Senate President Saraki, House of Representatives Speaker Dogara and APC National Chairman, John Odigie-Oyegun, departed the Villa after meeting with the president.

The meeting of the APC leadership with the President was ahead of tonight’s meeting of the national caucus of the ruling party scheduled for 8:30pm at the State House in Abuja yesterday.

Also at the meeting was the Chairman of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum (NGF) and Zamfara State Governor, Abdulaziz Yari.

At the end of the meeting, they declined to comment on the purpose of the meeting.
