Police, Community Declare Bisexual Man Wanted After Alleged Murder of Partner

The Edo State Command of the Nigerian Police has declared wanted one Otabor Steve Efosa after he was allegedly caught with his male partner Edwin Erhahon in an act of same-sex in Omi community in Ovia South-west local government area of Edo state and reportedly escaped during a violent mob attak which led to the death of his partner.

Recall that Otabor Steve Efosa and his partner were reportedly caught in the act which resulted in desecration of Omi community .

Both males were caught in the act by an unsuspecting neigbhour who walked in on them in Edwin Erhahon’s apartment unannounced on November 8th 2022, it was understood .

It was said that the neighbour who caught them in the act of same-sex practice immediately raised an alarm which attracted a mammoth crowd of angry youths including women and children who hurriedly raced down to the scene of the unfolding sacrilege.

According to an eyewitness who spoke on condition of anonymity, the two men were ruthleslly beaten-up in nudity for desecrating their community.

The eyewitness disclosed that such evil act was capable of invoking the violent wrath of the ancestors of the land on them which includes famine, pestilence and untimely death.

It was gathered that as some of angry youths attempted to reach for tyres and fuel within the community to lynch both males by burning them alive, Otabor Steve Efosa managed to escape from their grip .

His sudden escape from the grip of the angry mob, it was gathered, was also met with a hot chase by some of the youths as he dashed off and instantly escaped into a nearby bush where he lost sight of those after him.

Edwin Erhahon was said to have suffered severe loss of blood and became unconscious when some of the angry youths came with tyres and petrol to set him ablaze but for the timely arrival of local vigilante members, he was immediately taken away to an undisclosed health care facility for urgent medical attention under the supervision of vigilant policemen, it was confirned.

He was however pronounced dead 2 days later as he was said to have suffered from severe loss of blood and the traumatic shock during the mob attack .

Meanwhile a statement by the police disclosed that after the completion of its investigation into a case of alleged same-sex practice in Omi community involving two males, it has declared one Otabor Steve Efosa wanted for clear violation of the 2014 Same-sex Prohibition Act.

The statement further added that the police has also launched a manhunt to arrest and prosecute all those responsible for the alleged murder of his partner Edwin Ehrahon who died from the mob attack .

Similarly the elders of the community have also placed a ransom on the fleeing Otabor Steve Efosa whose whereabouts remain unknown to anyone in the community.

The elders in a statement added that the presence of the fleeing man was highly needed in the community to carry out the spiritual cleansing of the land in order to avert any imminent doom in the land as a result of the sacrilege by the two males.
