Peace and unity must be the symbol of Adamawa: Team Bindow tours Northern state on peace initiative

In an effort to have a lasting and enduring peace, tranquillity and harmonious coexistence, a group under the auspices of Team Bindow on an going peace initiative visits to the entire Adamawa, has said the state will only progress in the atmosphere of peace and unity.

The Chairman of the Association, Abdulmumuni Song while setting up for the journey at the Association’s Secretariat on a tour of Northern Senatorial District said the visit is necessary at this time that many people are injured because of Boko Haram and Herdsmen/Famers clashes.

According to him the tours will also sensitise people on the need of peaceful coexistence and for them to cultivate the habit of religious tolerance.

“Peaceful coexistence is panacea to development, without harmony, peace and tranquillity even our Governor cannot do much in terms of developmental projects.” Song Said

The group which was formed to uphold the leadership of the Governor and to preach unity, peace and development as an agenda under the Leadership of Governor Jibrila Bindow who is working hard to give the state a new look.

Song opined that the two days tour will take them to Michika, Mubi North, Mubi South, Madagali and Maiha LGAs were earmarked In the zone to be visited.

“We are also to remind the custodian of our customs and traditions like the Emirs and Chiefs that they are stake holders that will support the government for the people to be oriented.”
