Patience Jonathan Offer To Convert Her Abuja Hotel Under EFCC Investigation To Isolation Centre

Wife of Former President , Patience Jonathan, may have reached a deal with First Lady Aisha Muhammadu Buhari to turn her 200 bed hotel to a Coronavirus disease isolation and treatment centre.

The hotel, located on Jabi-Mabushi road, has been a subject of litigation between Mrs. Jonathan and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, which secured an interim forfeiture order on the property, with Mrs Jonathan insisting that the hotel belongs to another entity, the Aurora Foundation.

According to reports a deal was struck between Mrs Jonathan and Mrs. Buhari during a recent visit of the former to the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, Abuja, for Mrs. Buhari’s pet project, the Future Assured Programme to use the property as an isolation and treatment centre for the Coronavirus pandemic.

The reports further added that the hotel, which has witnessed intensed finishing touches in the last few days would be handed over to the Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire today, Monday.
