The plea by the Nigeria Modern Pentathlon Federation (NMPF) to the corporate world and well-meaning individuals for their support towards Nigerian’s bid to stage a successful Youth Olympic Games Qualifier and the Senior African Pentathlon Championship come December 4-11 seems to be yielding results as Nigerians have started responding positively.
This follows the donation of some equipment including computer laptops by a good Nigerian, Mr. Ozed Offorjebe to the Federation.
Offorjebe who made this donation in Lagos said the effort was part of his contribution towards ensuring that Nigeria hosts a hitch-free championship.
President of the Nigeria Modern Pentathlon Federation and Vice chairman of the Main Organizing Committee, Chief Jonathan Nnaji, who received the donation on behalf of the Federation, thanked Offorjebe for his kind gesture even as he promised judicious use of the items.
Nnaji used the opportunity to appeal to other corporate organizations and well-meaning individuals for more support.
