Oyetola hails Pa Fasoranti at 94

Governor Adegboyega Oyetola of Osun state has felicitated with elder statesman and Leader of the pan-Yoruba socio-cultural group, Afenifere, Chief Reuben Fasoranti, on his 94th birthday anniversary.

Oyetola in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Ismail Omipidan, on Wednesday, extolled the virtues of Pa Fasoranti and hailed his contributions to the development of the Yoruba race in particular and Nigeria in general.

The governor described the elder statesman as an exemplary, visionary, peace- loving and compassionate leader, whose devotion and commitment to the cause of the Yoruba nation is unquantifiable and epic.

“On behalf of the government and people of the State of Osun, I join family, friends, associates, followers and wellwishers to felicitate our leader, Pa Fasoranti, on the occasion of his 94th birthday anniversary.

“I thank Almighty God for granting baba long life that is full of service to his people, country and humanity at large.

“Pa Fasoranti is an exemplary, visionary, peace- loving and compassionate leader whose devotion and commitment to the Yoruba race is unquantifiable and epic.

“Baba is strongly committed to the unity and development of not only the Yoruba race, but Nigeria as a whole. He has been steadfast in defending and projecting our culture and values.

“We will continue to value his leadership and courage and pray that God grant him more years in good health,” Oyetola added.
