Ooni unveils ‘Yoruba Parapo’ cultural carnival logo

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has unveiled the logo of Yoruba Parapo Cultural Carnival (YPCC) which is an event put together to promote the unity of Yoruba race.
Ooni officially unveiled the YPCC logo and inaugurated the Central Coordinating Committee, in his Palace, on Friday, in Ile-Ife.
The Chief Executive Consultant/CEO, Prince Solomon Gbenga, in his speech said that the history of Yoruba, their tribe and cultural development need to be lauded and honoured.
Gbenga added that the peaceful coexistence and unity of the race worth celebration and boosted, saying the carnival will attract cultural troupes at home and internationally.
According to him, it will be colourful, entertaining and added value to the political, socio-economic focus of the generality.
The Chief Executive Consultant explained further that the economic and socio-political efforts of the sons and daughters of Yoruba race globally are reckoned with and the stakeholders, Nigerians, corporate organisation are expected to give support.
He called for blessing , resourceful guardians and supports of the royal father, for them to have full success of the programme and for general public to benefit immensely from the event.
Gbenga appealed to Oba Ogunwusi to offer them land to construct a Mega Yoruba Cultural Dome in Ife of 25000 capacity, in which Ooni would lay the foundation stone.
In his remarks, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, commended the organisers of the programme, especially on promoting Yoruba culture and tourism potentials.
Oba Ogunwusi assured them that with their contribution in supporting his peaceful propergation, saying he would give them 100 per cent backup.
Ooni assured the organisers of sustainability of peace, unity and progress of Yoruba race globally.
