Ondo records first COVID-19 death

Ondo State has recorded its first COVID-19 death.

Ondo Commissioner for Health, Dr Wahab Adegbenro, confirmed this while responding to questions in a radio programme.
The deceased details was not disclosed.
The Nation reports that Adegbenro said the deceased was a man who came into the state from Lagos State after testing positive to Coronavirus.
Adegbenro stated that the deceased has an underlying challenge of renal failure which he said worsened his case and led to his death at the state’s Infectious Disease Hospital.
He said his body would be buried in accordance with laid down rules by the NCDC and added that other COVID19 patients were in stable condition.
