October 1 Quit Notice: CAN appeal to traders to close shops, call for prayers

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), has appealed to traders in Plateau to close shops half day in other to observe the praying and fasting instituted by the Christian body which began on the 25th of September to end on Saturday 30th September 2017.
In a Statement signed by the Plateau State Chairman, CAN, Rev. Soja Bewarang, and made available to our correspondent, it read that “CAN on behalf of the Church on the Plateau has declared Six Days of Prayer on the prevailing circumstances in our State and Nation: Monday, Sept 25th – Sat 30th, 2017.

“Day 6 – Sept 30th: Prayer for Healing of the Nation, Reconciliation, a UNITED Nigeria for Peace, Justice and Development, peaceful celebration of Nigeria’s 57th Independence.
“CAN Requests All Traders on the Plateau to CLOSE their Shops on Saturday, September 30th 2017, and FOCUS on PRAYER as DIRECTED”.
The statement included that the State Governor, Simon Lalong will visit Igbo Communities on the last day of the fast to reassure them of their safety, adding that peace and justice will prevail in the State.
