The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) said on Thursday that it would enter into partnership with the Miss Nigeria Organisation (MNO), right owners of Miss Nigeria pageant, on environmental sustainability, through the Green-Girl Project.

The project is a Miss Nigeria initiative aimed at increasing the voices of women and young people in the discourse of environmental issues. Miss Nigeria aims to reach out to young people, women, communities and graduates through most suitable means such as recycling literacy, community advocacy and Green Project Management (GPM) trainings.

It was in an effort to actualize the expected partnership with the Exchange, that Dr. May Ikeora, Director of the Miss Nigeria organisation led the reigning queen, Miss Chioma Obiadi, 40th Miss Nigeria, and key officials of the organisation on a courtesy visit to the NSE on Thursday.

“We are trailed about some of your works and interest in this area as seen in your sustainability report and would appreciate a chance to share our objectives with the NSE” Chioma Obiadi, Miss Nigeria said.
The Miss Nigeria Organisation, through the visit, explored ways to work with the NSE on one of its key pillars ‘Environment’ which falls in line with the Miss Nigeria Green-Girl Project.

Dr. Ikeora, had earlier reemphasized the importance of Miss Nigeria as a heritage and empowerment platform for young women.
