Nollywood’s ‘Owambe Thieves’ Premieres in UK Cinemas

Nollywood’s latest crime drama, Owambe Thieves, has made its UK debut, hitting select cinemas across the country on May 9, 2025.

Produced by Eniola Ajao and directed by Adeoluwa Owu, the film delves into the struggles of a young couple, Cheta and Lola, portrayed by Zubby Michael and Eniola Ajao, as they navigate financial hardships during one of Nigeria’s most challenging economic recessions.

The movie boasts a star-studded cast, including Odunlade Adekola, Fathia Balogun, Sola Sobowale, Femi Branch, and Wumi Toriola, bringing a blend of drama and humor to the big screen.
