Nnamdi Kanu to be released as Ohaneze Ndigbo puts house in order

A non political movement in the South East, known as Ohaneze Ndigbo, has regretted long denial of the release of the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB, Mr Nnamdi Kanu from detention, calling on federal government to release him unconditionally.
This was stated after the election that witnessed the emergence of the new leadership of Anambra State chapter of Ohaneze Ndigbo, in Awka, Anambra State.
The newly elected President General of Anambra State Chapter of Ohaneze Ndigbo, Mr Damian Okeke bemoaned the marginalization of Igbos in the present administration, saying it had affected the socio-political activities in the area.
Mr Okeke noted that Igbos had contributed immensely to the development of the country, calling on Igbos to unite and champion a common goal, with the involvement of members of IPOB and MASSOB to decision making.
The President General frowned at the level of extortion and humiliation by the Nigeria police, especially those stationed at different post in the South East, saying they had deviated from the mean purpose of safeguarding the people to extortion of money from motorists.
Mr Okeke promised that his administration would enthrone meaningful development and further strengthen the existing peace and harmony the past administration had introduced.
He pledged to run all inclusive government and involved Igbo youths in decision making, especially in providing enabling environment for youths to gain admission in schools as well as employment in different establishments.
The P. G however commended Governor Willie Obiano for his giant administrative blueprints which had given the state a facelift, as well as his non involvement in the election.
The out gone President General of Ohaneze Ndigbo, Elder Chris Eluemuno said his administration achieve tremendously which the present administration would stride on.
Elder Eluemuno congratulated the newly elected president general and urged him to maintain a healthy environment for Igbos.
The highlight of the event was the election of new leadership of Ohaneze Ndigbo.
