NGAS community inaugurates new executive

To foster the spirit of love, brotherhood and togetherness among its people, residents of Ngas community of Plateau state, in Lagos have inaugurated new executive members to pilot its affairs in the next one year.
They were inaugurated under the auspices of NGAS Development Association (NDA) Lagos state branch. Among the newly elected executive members were Mr. Gambo Wuteka, chairman; Mr. Monday Kassem, vice chairman; Mr. Williams Golen; secretary general; Mr. Michael Lungkus, assistant secretary general and Mr. Paschal Goyol, public relation officer.
Others were, Mr. Lengshiwe Mwadima, Fin. Secretary; Mrs. Pyemwa Maimako, treasurer; Mr. Gambo Lar, provost; Mr. Kyauta Yusuf, welfare officer; and Mr. Kichime Jacob, director of socials.
On hand to inaugurate the executive members were the traditional ruler of the Ngas community in Lagos state (Ngolong Lagos), Nde Peter Liwer, their patron, Wing Commander Peter Gowal (rtd.), and a host of other dignitaries.
In his inaugural speech, the chairman, Mr. Wuteka, promised to continue to promote the rich cultural heritage of the Ngas people as he has always done. He also pledged to better the lots of their people in Lagos and its environs, particularly in the current economic recession.
Wuteka also promised to ensure that the sources of income of the association are diversified, rather than depending on dues, levies and free will donations as the major sources.
